WE’LL BE COUNTING STARS

When setting out on this mission, Adam Thorpe’s aim was to create a truly meaningful organisation which can help to shift consumer trends toward plant-based food. STARS® is a company which is about the community that are building it, about having great fun and being super caring, active and passionate about the environment.

From its first locations STARS® will be serving great casual food in a way that people enjoy, simple, tasty, good for them and doesn’t cost the Earth!

With lots of talk about Global Warming, greenhouse gases and animal welfare as a result of our broken food system we decided to do something about that. STARS® is a collective of talented individuals working remotely around the globe to build a cool brand that people love.

STARS® is being registered for 1% for the Planet as well as working towards being a registered B Corp. This is because we do want to create a profitable organisation that can grow and influence on a global scale, we also want to do this with a firm focus on our purpose to create a better world, to protect our environment , to provide a better option and to take away suffering of billions of animals.

As one of our favourite bands, One Republic put it:

‘Lately I been, I been losing sleep

Dreaming about the things that we could be

But baby I been, I been praying’ hard

Said no more counting dollars

We’ll be counting STARS

Yeah, we’ll be counting STARS!’

TOGETHER, ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

STARS® believes that anything is possible, especially together. Our founder Adam Thorpe was on a STRIVE expedition in the Atlas Mountains in Morocco and amongst the good people there as guest of Richard Branson and his family was Simon Sinek. At that time Simon was writing about two principles, one being the power of WHY and the second was that we are better, together!

These thoughts stuck in the mind of Adam and became key principles when starting up STARS® in 2020.

‘The relevance now for us to be a part of something meaningful has never been more important as we come to re-build our societies, values and economies.’
